France-bound fliers are getting a swanky new space to unwind before boarding their plane in one of the newest airport terminals in the United States.
Air France has announced plans to open a sweeping new airport lounge in New York JFK’s new Terminal One in 2027.
The 29,000-square-foot space will “showcase the art of French travel,” according to the carrier, and welcome passengers flying in the airline’s La Première and Business cabins.
The elegant lounge will be spread across two stories with seating for up to 400 guests.
Amenities will include areas for relaxation, work, and beauty treatments. (At some of its lounge locations, Air France currently offers facials and other spa treatments with Clarins products.)
There will also be a bar spotlighting French wines and Champagnes, as well as dining areas that highlight French cuisine.
La Première passengers will have their own special area within the lounge, with exclusive dining options created by a famous French chef.
Air France plans to move all of its flight operations into JFK’s new Terminal One after the facility opens next year.
In 2027, the carrier plans to operate up to six daily flights between Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and New York JFK, with at least four of those flights aboard its Boeing 777-300ER planes outfitted with the luxe new La Première first class suites.
