American Airlines is turning 100 years old, and to celebrate, the carrier is giving away tens of thousands of frequent flier miles to a handful of lucky winners.
Through April 30, travelers can enter a drawing to win 100,000 AAdvantage Miles from American Airlines. The carrier will be giving away 100,000 miles to 100 winners who enter the raffle.
Travelers must be members of the airline’s AAdvantage loyalty program in order to enter the contest (it’s free to join.) Once they have their AAdvantage account, travelers can enter the sweepstakes daily at aa100sweeps.com.
For even more chances to win, AAdvantage members can book a flight from April 15 to 30 and enter the valid confirmation code in the online sweepstakes form to receive 100 more entries. Travelers can receive up to 400 bonus entries by booking four flights during the contest window and entering the confirmation codes.
AAdvantage flight redemptions start at about 8,000 miles for one-way domestic flights in economy, according to American’s website.
For transatlantic flights, one-way tickets start at about 30,000 miles one-way in economy from Dallas to London Heathrow for late April 2026 or Miami to Marid in mid-June 2026.
Flights over the Pacific start in a similar range, with one-way fares in economy between Los Angeles and Tokyo as low as 35,000 miles for late April 2026.
