An American Airlines flight was forced to turn around after taking off from a Chicago airport Wednesday night due to a verbal fight between a couple on the plane.
According to NBC Chicago, American Flight 3284 had just taken off from O'Hare International Airport in Chicago on a journey to Toronto Pearson International Airport when the plane was forced to turn around after only 15 minutes due to a "disruptive passenger."
American spokesperson Jeanine Brown said the plane landed back at the Chicago airport and was met by waiting police. Officers boarded the flight at 5:44 p.m. local time and removed the arguing couple without further incident.

The authorities dubbed the incident as a "small verbal argument" and no injuries were reported from anyone onboard. As a result, police did not file charges and the couple was booked on a later flight by American.
American Flight 3284 was delayed for about four hours, but eventually departed for Toronto at 9:16 p.m., Brown told NBC Chicago.
