Selling small-ship expeditions just got easier – that is, if you hope to increase your share of business from Aurora Expeditions, which unveiled the Aurora Advisor Advantage, a portfolio of enhancements that improve commission payments, fam rates, and sales and digital tools.
Flexible Travel Policies for Clients
The expedition line also introduced several new enhancements for advisors’ clients, including a “no-charge flexible voyage transfer, allowing clients who are unable to travel after paying their deposit to move their booking to another Aurora Expeditions voyage departing within 36 months of their original departure date, without a transfer fee,” the line said, and a “no-charge flexible voyage transfers, allowing clients who are unable to travel after paying their deposit to move their booking to another Aurora Expeditions voyage departing within 36 months of their original departure date, without a transfer fee,” Aurora said.
Faster Commission and Exclusive Industry Rates
On the advisor front, Aurora Expeditions has accelerated its commission timeline, issuing eligible gross commission payments to advisors 60 days before departure. The change aims to optimize cash flow for partners while recognizing their contributions earlier in the sales cycle.
The line is also introducing Aurora Inside Rates for $300 per person, per day, enabling advisors and their guests to sail on the line’s voyages for bookings made 120 days prior to departure.
Upgraded Advisor Booking Tools
In the revamped Travel Advisor Hub advisors will find an arsenal of information they need to more seamlessly book voyages, including the Dates & Rates Tool to “view live voyage pricing across every cabin category and check optional activity availability,” Aurora said, adding that sailings can “be searched by departure date, region, season, duration, ship and price, helping advisors compare options and respond to client inquiries more efficiently.”
Additionally, Aurora Expeditions is in the midst of developing a new online booking portal that will allow advisors to book trips 24/7.
Partnering for Advisor Success
“Aurora Advisor Advantage reflects a simple commitment: to listen to our travel advisor partners and deliver what they need to succeed selling small ship expeditions,” said Aurora Expeditions Head of Global Sales David Tanguay.
