For a moment, consider the worst possible time to have your flight canceled.

Sure, the time you absolutely had to make that business meeting or when you wanted to see the big game are all good ones, but neither is a life-changing event, one that you would not only remember forever but cherish.

The New York Post reports a bride hoping to make her wedding in South America instead had to cancel it at the last minute when her flight from JFK to Guyana was canceled at the last minute.

Instead of enjoying her first dance, Leezel Cambridge was stuck doing the only move stranded travelers know: curling up on the ground with their belongings, wearing the rare look of utter frustration.

Stabroek News captured the heartbreaking scene and posted to social media.

According to the report, Cambridge and about 1,000 other travelers were ready to take a trip south when the flight was canceled at two in the morning.

A bad news scenario gets even worse as a bride-to-be had to cancel something else because of the unfolding situation.

Cambridge tells the Post, in regards to her wedding, "I had to cancel it."

It's all thanks to a Dynamic International Airways flight that never came to be. What was left in its wake was a collection of disgruntled travelers that were at a loss of what to do next. For Cambridge, dismay set in. She tells the Post: "I should be in Guyana happy and bouncing around. But I'm in New York p--d off."

And because you were already ripped out of the holiday spirit, we might as well relay another anecdote from the report: "Francine Bascom, a 24-year-old Brooklyn mom, missed her newborn's christening Sunday and may have to cancel her wedding next weekend because of the travel nightmare."

We are sure there are many travelers who have awful stories that play out behind missed or canceled flights.

It's heartbreaking to hear that a bride was set to celebrate her nuptials with 300 loved ones only to have to alter what should have been a momentous occasion.

The report states there has been no real closure as to when the airline will begin service to Guyana again. We hope Cambridge is able to find another day to celebrate her love and that it will wash away any memory of this personal nightmare.
