Delta Air Lines added YouTube to its lineup of in-flight entertainment options, offering passengers a generous number of videos, podcasts and music playlists, which are accessible on their personal devices and seatback screens via Delta Sync WiFi.
“This partnership was born from a simple but powerful insight: Our customers love YouTube,” said Julieta McCurry, Delta’s vice president of in-flight entertainment and connectivity.
“As two leaders in our respective spaces, each with a legacy of innovation and a deep commitment to serving as agents of human connection, Delta and YouTube are uniquely positioned to deliver an unmatched customer experience – one that meets you where you are and helps you discover more of your world,” she added.
Currently, upwards of 930 Delta aircraft use Delta Sync Wi-Fi domestically and internationally, with the next generation to launch in 2026.
“The new cloud-based platform is designed to evolve with customer preferences over time, offering a more personalized and seamless entertainment experience,” Delta said.
Effective Oct. 1, US SkyMiles members logged onto Delta Sync WiFi on their personal devices and “flying domestically can unlock an exclusive 14-Day Free Preview of YouTube Premium – no form of payment required,” Delta said.
“That means full access to YouTube and YouTube Music’s vast library of videos and music, ad-free, offline and in the background.”
