Delta Air Lines is increasing its winter schedule to warm-weather destinations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean this year, adding new nonstop routes from Atlanta to the island nations of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada, as well as increasing its route frequency for several popular routes.
Delta is the only U.S. air carrier to offer a nonstop route to both Caribbean islands from its hub in Atlanta. Both routes will be operating on Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Beginning in December, the airline will offer a new Saturday service to Grand Cayman (GCM) from Detroit (DTW) and increase its service to Nassau and Cancun. In Minneapolis (MSP), the airline will operate winter and spring flights to Nassau (NAS).
Bostonians can fly daily nonstop service to St. Thomas (STT) this winter, and enjoy a second daily flight option heading to Cancun.
Delta’s adding more nonstop service to Latin American and Caribbean destinations this winter, including daily nonstop service to Cancun and nonstop service to Cabo (SJD). The airline will add Saturday service to San Juan (RJU) from Raleigh-Durham (RDU) and Saturday service to Cancun from Nashville (BNA), Kansas City (MCI) and Indianapolis (IND).
“With two brand-new destinations in the Eastern Caribbean, Delta is expanding its offering in the region, with even more seats to Latin America and the Caribbean this winter,” said Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning at Delta. “Customers across the U.S. will also benefit from more flights to top destinations from hubs in the Midwest and Northeast, as well as new direct service from key cities like Austin, Nashville and Raleigh-Durham.”
