Frontier Airlines has announced new routes and expanded service from as many as 12 different U.S. airports this summer.
The ultra-low-cost carrier revealed a handful of routes taking off this June and July and is celebrating the new flight options with fares as low as $19 one-way when customers book by midnight ET on April 10.
Frontier will begin three times weekly service between Norfolk, Virginia and Philadelphia on June 5 and three times weekly service between Buffalo and Philadelphia on June 6.
Starting June 13, Frontier will begin three times weekly service between Denver and Savannah, Georgia as well as four times weekly service between Dallas/Fort Worth and Sacramento, California.
Three times weekly service between Dallas/Fort Worth and St. Louis will start on June 14. That same day, the carrier will begin four times weekly service between Dallas/Fort Worth and Seattle and three times weekly service between Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and Salt Lake City.
Beginning July 11, Frontier will introduce daily service between Sacramento and Southern California's Ontario International Airport.
Passengers flying the new routes can also take advantage of Frontier's new upgraded seating option, UpFront Plus.
"As consumers look to take to the skies this summer for leisure or business travel, we’re thrilled to further expand our route map from coast to coast," Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design, Frontier Airlines, said in a statement. "More destinations from more airports means Frontier Airlines can provide ‘Low Fares Done Right’ to even more customers during the busy summer travel season."
The new route announcements come on the heels of a route shake-up announced in hopes of returning to profitability.
