Here’s something you don’t see every day: a pilot walking off an airplane in handcuffs.
A Frontier airlines pilot was arrested in Houston and escorted off the plane in cuffs prior to departure.
The incident happened Saturday at George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Seymour Walker, 45, was taken into custody. He was wanted on a domestic violence charge. The flight was scheduled to go from Houston to Dallas. Walker and the plane had just landed from a previous flight.
Police said he was taken into custody without incident.
In a statement, Frontier said: "The activity occurred prior to the start of boarding for Flight 3195 scheduled from IAH to Dallas Forth Worth (DFW). A replacement crew member was not immediately available and therefore the flight was canceled."
Passengers were offered a full refund, credit, or a spot on the next available.
It's not the first case of airline employees arrested on the job.
Earlier this year, several flight attendants were accused of smuggling drugs for money. Also, a TSA assistant director was arrested for falsifying documents.
