New European Airline To Offer Daily Non-Stop Service From Atlanta This Summer

Globetrotters looking for options to fly non-stop to Europe from the East Coast will have even more choices this summer.

SAS Scandinavian Airlines has announced that as part of its summer 2024 schedule it will add daily direct service between Atlanta, Georgia and Copenhagen.

Slated to start June 17, the Atlanta to Copenhagen route s one of many direct flights from the East Coast that the carrier is offering for the busy upcoming summer travel season.

SAS is also increasing the number of daily flights it offers between Copenhagen and New York (JFK). For this summer it will have up to two daily flights. There are also existing daily flights to New York-Newark Airport from Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen.

What’s more, SAS’ Copenhagen to Boston flights will be increased to daily, up from six times a week. In addition, a fourth weekly flight will be added from Copenhagen to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The new flight service to Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is likely to have a major impact however, given that the airport served nearly 94 million passengers in 2022 and is the world’s busiest airport.

The complete list of SAS’ North America destinations for this summer includes:

• Atlanta (ATL)
• New York (EWR & JFK)
• Chicago (ORD)
• Boston (BOS)
• Washington D.C. (IAD)
• Los Angeles (LAX)
• San Francisco (SFO)
• Miami (MIA) until 07 April
• Toronto (YYZ)
