Ever wonder what your Facebook profile picture would look like plastered onto an airplane fuselage 35,000 feet in the sky?
Well, thanks to Ryanair, the wait is almost over.
In celebration of the airline's 30th birthday and the launch of its official Facebook page earlier this month, Ryanair has announced that it will put the faces and names of 30 lucky Facebook fans on the side of its planes.
Surprisingly, the Irish low-cost carrier has operated for years without a Facebook account. But as of July 8, the Dublin-based airline is up and running on the popular social media website.
"To celebrate the launch of our Facebook account, we're giving away a prize that money can't buy, where 30 lucky fans will have a Ryanair plane named after them," said Ryanair's head of communications Robin Kiely in a statement..
Anyone interested in the opportunity to have a Ryanair plane dedicated to them must first "like" the airline's new official Facebook page, then download the "Get your face on" Ryanair Facebook app in order to upload a photo along with an explanation as to why they should be chosen.
The contest ends Aug. 31, and winners will be announced the following day.
The 30 winning names and images will be added to the planes sometime prior to January 2016.
As of Wednesday, Ryanair's Facebook page has 132,000 likes.
