AmaWaterways has appointed Steve Spivak to the role of Chief Commercial Officer, effective September 30.
The travel and hospitality industry veteran brings nearly three decades of leadership experience to his new role with the luxury river cruise leader.
Spivak joins AmaWaterways after spending 14 years with Tauck, most recently serving as Vice President of Global Sales and Customer Experience. Prior to that, Spivak served as Vice President of Global Sales for Loews Hotels and has also held senior sales and marketing leadership positions with Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Beginning this fall, Spivak will be tasked with overseeing AmaWaterways’ Sales, Global Service & Reservations, and Revenue Management teams, bringing each together under one commercial strategy while focusing on supporting AmaWaterways' continued growth and bolstering relationships with travel advisors, strategic partners and guests.
"Steve brings an incredible depth of experience and a genuine passion for travel, people and the relationships that make this industry so special,” AmaWaterways CEO Catherine Powell said in a statement.
