MSC Cruises will serve as the title sponsor of three Formula 1 races during the 2027 FIA Formula One World Championship, including the Belgian, Portuguese and Turkish Grands Prix.
The cruise line will be the title sponsor of the Formula 1 MSC Cruises Grande Prêmio de Portugal 2027 from June 18-20, the Formula 1 MSC Cruises Belgian Grand Prix 2027 from July 23-25 and the Formula 1 MSC Cruises Turkish Grand Prix 2027 from October 1-3.
The sponsorships mark the second consecutive year that MSC Cruises will serve as title sponsor of three Formula 1 races. The cruise line first partnered with Formula 1 in 2022, with the global partnership currently extending through 2030.
MSC Cruises already has trackside branding and hospitality activations at Formula 1 races. In 2027, branding for both MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys, the luxury ocean travel brand within MSC Group’s Cruise Division, will appear at a selection of Grands Prix throughout the season.
The three sponsored races will take place at three different European circuits, including two venues returning to the Formula 1 calendar in 2027.
Portugal will host Formula 1 at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão from June 18-20. The race will mark Formula 1’s return to Portugal after the country last hosted a Grand Prix in 2021. The 4.6-kilometer circuit is known for its elevation changes and technical layout.
The Belgian Grand Prix will follow from July 23-25 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. At 7.004 kilometers, Spa is one of the longest circuits on the Formula 1 calendar.
Formula 1 will then return to Türkiye for the Turkish Grand Prix from October 1-3. The race will be held at Istanbul Park, which first joined the Formula 1 calendar in 2005 and has hosted nine Grands Prix. The 5.33-kilometer circuit last hosted Formula 1 in 2020 and 2021 and is returning under a new five-year agreement that runs through 2031.
The 2027 Formula 1 calendar features 24 Grands Prix across 22 countries and 10 Sprint events. Portugal and Türkiye are the two new additions to the calendar, while Belgium remains on the schedule.
