United Airlines Again Postpones Daily Flights to Tel Aviv, Israel

United Airlines has confirmed that it will not be providing service to and from Israel until early June.

In a statement issued today, the airline said it intends to hold off on providing daily flights to Tel Aviv in Israel until June 9. In addition, the carrier's second daily Tel Aviv flight will be canceled through June 19.

"We continue to closely monitor the situation and will make decisions on upcoming flights with a focus on the safety of our customers and crews," per the airline's statement today.

United Airlines announced on April 19, after Israel's attack on Iran, that it would cancel daily flights between New Jersey and Tel Aviv until May 2. The airline's flight suspension was later pushed to May 9.

Other airlines that have suspended service to Israel amid the hostilities with Iran include EasyJet, Air Canada and Air India. In the case of Air India, the carrier ceased service in October when the war between Israel and Hamas developed. But it resumed flights in 2024. By mid-April, however, after the attack by Iran (which had followed an attack on Israel by Iran), Air India once again suspended operations to the country.

Other airlines have since been cautiously resuming flights to the country. This contingent includes flyDubai, Ethiopian Airlines and Azerbaijan Airlines. 

Flight disruptions to and from Israel date back to October when the war with Hamas erupted. American, Delta and others cancelled flights when the war began.
