United Airlines will begin flying a new daily nonstop flight between Guam and Tokyo-Haneda International Airport on May 1, subject to government approval, creating a year-round route that will increase connections to the island.
The new flights will go on sale later today, February 23, 2024, and are part of United's overall international flight expansion. The new route will be operated by a Boeing 737-800, with capacity for 166 passengers, including sixteen business class seats.
The flights will depart each day from Guam at 19:00 (or 7:00 p.m.) local time, and will arrive in Tokyo Haneda at 22:00 (or 10:00 p.m.) the same day. The return flight will depart Haneda at 23:55 (or 11:55 p.m.) and will arrive in Guam at 4:45 a.m. local time the next day.
Additionally, the airline will operate six daily flights from Tokyo-Haneda to New York/Newark, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Guam.

United also offers 32 weekly flights between Guam and the Tokyo-Narita airport. It’s the largest airline operating in Guam, offering over 87 weekly flights to 14 destinations, and is the only airline offering flights between Guam and Osaka, Fukuoka and Nagoya in Japan, as well as to islands in the Federated States of Micronesia, Marshall Islands and Palau.
