WATCH: Delta Introduces Latest Safety Video

Delta Air Lines has introduced the latest in a series of light, funny safety videos, designed as such to keep passengers interested and aware of the safety features aboard a plane.

It's been an ongoing trend in the industry for a few years now, and several airlines - notably Air New Zealand - have gone to great lengths to produce the roughly five-minute instruction video, including a 'Lord of the Rings' theme.

For its part, Delta has been right there with the best of them, producing several of these. Two in particular stand out -its "Internetest" of all time safety video, which includes numerous viral web memes, and its homage to the 1980s safety video, which included cameos by notable '80s figures.

This latest effort is less thematic but does include at least one nostalgic moment inspired by a popular kids' show. And if you stay with it to the end, you'll be rewarded with yet another humor reference on the flight deck.
