Looking for some family fun before Christmas? Check out one of the Premier Rail Collection's official "The Polar Express" train rides, which depart for the North Pole from seven cities in the United States and two locations in the United Kingdom.
While many of the originally scheduled Polar Express rides have sold out, the Premier Rail Collection has added capacity to each of the locations, ensuring more families can experience the holiday tradition.
Most of the train journeys last through Dec. 23-some run a few days longer-and feature passengers traveling to the "North Pole" to meet Santa. Along the way, children are served hot chocolate and have the chance to interact with Elves until Santa boards the train for the ride home. The one-hour adventure also includes live readings from the Polar Express book.
"We are delighted in the response to our Polar Express events and pleased to provide more seats this week to our guests, many who make our Polar events an annual tradition with family and friends," Premier Rail Collection vice president Angela Lane said in a statement.
