A drunken passenger on a high-speed train in Germany was arrested after breaking into the driver's cab and ordering the conductor to slow down.
According to The Associated Press, federal police in Germany said an unidentified 30-year-old man who was under the influence of alcohol Sunday morning was traveling on an ICE train between Frankfurt and Paris, France.
The train operated by Germany's Deutsche Bahn was forced to stop near Frankfurt after the man picked up a fire extinguisher off the wall and smashed the glass door separating the cab from the passenger compartment.
As the conductor sat in shock behind the controls, the man told the driver to slow the high-speed train down to save the other passengers. When the train came to a stop, police boarded and arrested the man.
The suspect faces an investigation into dangerous interference in rail traffic and other possible charges.
No passengers were injured during the incident, but the train was taken out of service as a result of the damage caused by the fire extinguisher.
