Want to travel the world with your dog? Applications are now officially open for the first-ever dog-friendly cruise, hosted by Expedia Cruises of West Orlando and Margaritaville at Sea.
The inaugural voyage, called Cruise Tails, has room for up to 250 four-legged travelers. Human travelers should review the qualifications, protocols and tips as soon as possible, then fill out an application.
You’ll want to act fast, as cabins aboard the Margaritaville at Sea Islander are expected to fill up quickly. If necessary, a waitlist will be created.
“The enthusiasm and positive response we've received so far have been incredible,” says Steve Matzke, who leads Cruise Tails. “We’re thrilled to be able to provide such a unique travel experience where dogs are not just allowed, but celebrated as part of the family. This is more than just a cruise; it’s a chance to create lasting memories with your friends and family.”
The cruise will feature a wide variety of human- and pet-friendly amenities, including pet-friendly cabins—complete with a “pet butler.” Guests can also look forward to dog groomers, spa treatments for both humans and dogs, dog-friendly splash stations, theme parties, pre-cruise events and more.
