Avalon Waterways announced the return of No. 1 New York Times-bestselling author of the OUTLANDER series, Diana Gabaldon, to host a Storyteller Series river cruise along the Danube in 2024, with a two-night stay in Prague visiting filming locations from the STARZ adaptation of the book series' second season.
Guests and superfans of the OUTLANDER series can enjoy an onboard book-signing, question-and-answer forums, happy hours, dinners and more with Diana Gabaldon herself, all while sailing along the picturesque Danube on the seven-night Danube Dreams itinerary, from Deggendorf, Germany to Budapest, Hungary, visiting scenic villages and glorious European capitals.
"In April 2024, guests are invited to join Diana in Prague for a memorable two-night stay - including visits to OUTLANDER film sites from Season 2 of the STARZ series - before boarding the Avalon Impression for a seven-night Danube Dreams cruise from Deggendorf to Budapest," said Pam Hoffee, president of Avalon Waterways. "For a week, this renowned storyteller will share an inspired cruise - and daily excursions - with an intimate group of her fans, participating in an onboard book-signing, Q&A, Happy Hours, dinners and so much more, while sailing through the picturesque landscapes of Europe."
This trip will be the third Storyteller Series cruise Gabaldon has hosted; she is also the godmother of the Avalon Tapestry and was the inspiration for the literary-minded Storyteller Series cruises, which other authors like Gillian Flynn and Christopher Moore have also hosted.
