Seatrade Cruise News is reporting that Celestyal Cruises will deploy its Celestyal Crystal year-round to Cuba come November 2016. The ship has sailed previously to the Caribbean country seasonally under Cuba Cruise but will be rebranded to Celestyal for the end of 2016 and into 2017.

Celestyal Cruises CEO Kyriakos Anastassiadis is quoted as having said, "Our 2015-2016 Cuba Cruise season, our third, was our best yet, and thus, to respond to demand for our authentic Cuban product, our fourth season will begin on November 21, 2016, four weeks earlier than last year, and will sail year-round. We look forward to immersing even more passengers from all over the world in our authentic Cuban experience."
The Celstyal Crystal is a 480-stateroom ship that will offer seven-night Cuban cruises featuring an overnight in Havana and stops at Maria La Gorda, Cienfuegos and Santiago de Cuba. Sailings will interport - include two embarkations and disembarkations a week - from Havana on Mondays and Montego Bay, Jamaica on Fridays.

David Cogswell, Senior Writer, Tours, Middle East and Africa, just sailed onboard the Celstyal Crystal in Cuba and covered the experience here. Cuba, of course, is largely in the news as Carnival Corporation's Fathom line prepares to sail there beginning on May 1 as the first one granted to do so from U.S. shores in decades. Although it doesn't depart from America, Celestyal Cruises also accommodates U.S. citizens with a people-to-people program.
