Costa Cruises is launching a series of webinars designed to immerse travel advisors in all things Costa.
The five “All Aboard Costa” webinars, which debuted this week, will be scheduled every six weeks leading up to the New Year. Each webinar consists of a live 30-45-minute educational session, followed by a short Q&A session with Priscilla Reyes, head of sales for Costa Cruises North America.
Costa will spotlight a variety of topics that deliver comprehensive insight across key areas of the brand. As an added incentive, each webinar will feature a raffle, with every attendee automatically entered for a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card.
“Supporting our travel advisors is a top priority for Costa, and our new webinar series is a natural extension of this commitment that includes our new Cruisetelling educational course and redesigned Costa Extra portal,” says Reyes. “Our goal is to connect with advisors each month in a live environment, share what makes Costa so special and provide everything they need to confidently bring Costa to their clients.”
Travel advisors who are opted in to receive Costa communications will be sent an email inviting them to participate in the webinar series, and details also will be available via Costa Extra. Travel advisors who are unable to attend the live sessions or want a review can access each webinar via recording on Costa Extra if they register.
The first three topics in “All Aboard Costa” are tentatively planned, and the two remaining subjects will be announced in the coming weeks:
- An Introduction to the Costa Brand—Explore Costa’s Italian-inspired hospitality, product offerings, guest experience and what sets it apart in the cruise market.
- A Guide to Available Tools—Learn how to leverage Costa’s marketing resources, sales tools and support to drive bookings and increase business.
- Costa’s Winter Destinations—Learn about Costa's winter deployment and gain knowledge to confidently recommend each winter destination based on clients' travel interests and preferences.
Last month, Costa unveiled a major update to Costa Extra. The refreshed portal introduces an updated interface designed to offer a more user-friendly experience, featuring a clean, modern
layout with structured content areas and intuitive navigation. At the top of the homepage, a banner menu offers direct access to five main tabs: Booking Tools, Promotions, Costa World, Marketing and How-To.
“Costa has always placed great value on supporting our travel advisors, and this update
to Costa Extra reflects that commitment,” says Reyes. “Every element of the refreshed portal was developed with our travel partners in mind, offering a more intuitive experience. We’re excited for them to discover the improved design and let it inspire the journeys they create for their clients.”
The Booking Tools section remains an integral part of the portal, positioned just below the main menu so travel advisors can efficiently search departures, retrieve bookings and manage reservation details. Beyond booking-related activities, Costa Extra offers advisors direct access to marketing materials, step-by-step guides, brand content and sustainability resources. A new side menu was implemented to improve daily workflow, providing quick access to the tools and content advisors need most.
Scrolling the homepage, advisors will find dedicated sections, including Promos, With Costa, Highlights and Latest Comments, keeping them aligned with current promotions, brand developments and community activity in real time.
In April, the brand launched “Costa Cruisetelling,” a new series of six educational training modules for travel advisors. Each module is intended to be completed in under 10 minutes, followed by a quick multiple-choice quiz. Short videos and easy-to-digest content make the lessons entertaining and engaging.
Travel advisors who pass the final quiz will be “Costa Certified” and receive a certificate in recognition of their knowledge of the main pillars of the brand, knowledge of the main products and mastery of understanding the target audience. All advisors who successfully pass “Costa Cruisetelling” will receive 10 percent off a Costa cruise booking to any destination in the world.
“The best way to support travel advisors is by providing educational tools that are clear, engaging and comprehensive,” says Reyes. “Over the past year, we’ve developed Costa Cruisetelling to deliver the insights and knowledge advisors need to confidently sell the brand. We’re excited for our partners to explore the course and feel inspired to introduce their clients to Costa.”
