Cruise industry leaders will gather in Miami in April for the annual Seatrade Cruise Global conference. This year’s theme will be “The Evolution of Cruise,” organizers announced today.
The business-to-business conference will open on April 9 with a round-table discussion about environmental sustainability, market demand trends, digitalization, world events, energy sources, ship construction, artificial intelligence and more.
Panelists for the 2024 State of the Global Cruise Industry Keynote are:
- Josh Weinstein, President, CEO & Chief Climate Officer, Carnival Corporation & plc
- Kelly Craighead, President & CEO, Cruise Lines International Association
- Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman, Cruise Division, MSC Group
- Harry J. Sommer, President & CEO, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd
- Jason Liberty, President & CEO, Royal Caribbean Group
"The conference will kick off with a lineup of dynamic leaders digging into the most timely and critical issues of the global cruise business," says Seatrade Cruise News editor Anne Kalosh, who will moderate the panel. "I'm looking forward to what comes out of this powerhouse panel. With the industry back in full force I expect a lively discussion that hones in on opportunities as much as challenges."
The four-day conference, scheduled for April 8-11 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, expects to welcome more than 10,000 attendees from more than 120 countries. In addition to the keynote, the schedule also includes workshops, forums and panels focusing on an array of topics, from expedition cruising to entertainment to retail.
F&B@Sea, a cruise food and beverage event, will also be taking place over the same dates at the nearby Mana Wynwood Convention Center. Shuttle buses will be running between the two events every 30 minutes.
“With major innovations on the horizon and consumer demand for cruising on the rise, this year is an exciting time for the cruise industry,” says Kelly Craighead, president and chief executive officer of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA). “We look forward to joining our colleagues from around the world at Seatrade Cruise Global this April, and the opportunity to collaborate and demonstrate how cruise is advancing an ambitious sustainability agenda and pursuing innovations—both at sea and on shore—as it sails to an even better future.”
