Explora Journeys, the MSC Group’s luxury ocean travel brand, officially kicked off its Mediterranean Journeys Collection this week, marking the start of its 2025 season. The milestone coincided with the departure of EXPLORA II from Barcelona and the official inauguration of the brand-new MSC Barcelona Cruise Terminal.
The Mediterranean season will run through November 2025, offering travelers an immersive experience across some of the region’s most iconic and lesser-known destinations. The two luxury ships, EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II, will divide the Mediterranean between them, with EXPLORA I charting a course through the Eastern Mediterranean and EXPLORA II navigating the Western coastlines.
Guests aboard both vessels can look forward to indulgent Mediterranean voyages, which embody the hallmark elegance, comfort and spirit of discovery that are synonymous with the Explora Journeys brand.
Throughout the season, guests can experience Explora’s signature “Ocean State of Mind" as they sail through sun-soaked countries such as Greece, Italy, Turkey, France and Spain. The journeys promise a captivating fusion of cultural immersion and relaxed sophistication, with itineraries spotlighting both marquee cities and tucked-away treasures like Skiathos (Greece), Portofino (Italy), St. Tropez (France) and Mahón (Spain).
Guests beginning or concluding their voyage at the new MSC Barcelona Cruise Terminal will benefit from a smooth embarkation process, as the modern terminal is designed to echo the “Ocean State of Mind” philosophy that drives the Explora Journeys brand. With a contemporary glass façade that invites ample natural light and an open feel that strengthens its connection to the sea, the terminal mirrors the modern elegance and intuitive luxury found aboard Explora’s ships.
