Norwegian Cruise Line has just unveiled the entertainment lineup for its upcoming Norwegian Bliss, and it includes two main stage shows: "Jersey Boys" and a completely original production.

Coming to Alaska in June 2018 as well as the Caribbean, the Norwegian Joy will be the company's sixteenth ship.

"With Norwegian Bliss, we are continuing our legacy of bringing our guests the finest entertainment at sea," said Andy Stuart, Norwegian Cruise Line's president and chief executive officer, in a press release.

"Our entertainment team is bringing to life dazzling displays and award-winning musical sounds across our fleet, and Norwegian Bliss will continue that legacy with the Tony Award®-winning Jersey Boys and incredible new concepts created just for this spectacular ship."

Following the likes of "Rock of Ages," "Million Dollar Quartet" and "After Midnight," "Jersey Boys" will next headline the Norwegian Bliss with Broadway caliber entertainment. There will be an additional entirely original show crafted by Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Warren Carlyle also coming to the Bliss Theater.

Of course, 2006 Tony Award-winner for Best Musical "Jersey Boys" will feature the tunes of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons alongside the story of the street kids and their rise to fame. Toe-tapping numbers will include "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Oh What A Night," "Walk Like A Man," "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" and "Working My Way Back To You."

It will mark the first time the show has been remounted at sea.

As for the original, the cruise line is developing a Cuban-inspired musical in collaboration with Carlyle. The director and choreographer has previously worked on such Broadway shows as "Hello, Dolly" with Bette Midler and "After Midnight," itself a Norwegian favorite.

Costumes will be designed by Cuban-American fashion icon Isabel Toledo, who has also contributed to "After Midnight." Meanwhile, her husband, Cuban-American artist Ruben Toledo will be in charge of the show's art and scenic designs.

Entirely new to the Norwegian Bliss, the Alibi Comedy and Nightclub are venues for hilarious stand-up sets followed by late-night dancing. There will be two comedy shows six nights a week for adults as well as families. Seating and cocktail tables will be replaced after 10 p.m. for chevron-patterned dance floor action under LED disco lighting.

Here also will be hosted "Happy Hour Prohibition - The Musical" for a journey back in time to January 16, 1919, from Broadway dynamos Holly-Anne Palmer, Liz Muller and Collin Simon.

Coming onboard after performances in New Orleans and New York City will be the happy hour pre-dinner as well as late-night, adults-only show. The atmosphere will transform into Miss Lulu's Mahogany Hall speakeasy with stories of bootleggers and songs such as "Let's Misbehave," "Happy Feet" and "Makin' Whoopee." The one-hour event will also (naturally) feature Prohibition-era cocktails with a modern touch.

Lastly, The Cavern Club rock and roll venue will be coming aboard, taking inspiration from the Liverpool club where The Beatles often performed back in the 1960s. Each evening, live music will showcase a Beatles cover band playing favorites like "Penny Lane," "Yellow Submarine" and more.
