Norwegian Cruise Line has announced several leadership changes: Neil Brodie has been appointed vice president of “Experiences at Sea,” charters, meetings, incentives and events, and Jeff Cuellar has been named the new chief executive officer of Sixthman, the festival-at-sea vacation experiences brand.
Both Brodie and Cuellar succeed Anthony Diaz, who previously held both positions but is transitioning to a special advisor role with the company. He will stay on in the new capacity through June.
Brodie will work within the cruise line’s charter, meetings and incentives department, with a focus on sales, growth and business operations. More specifically, he will lead a team that works on corporate, themed and affinity-based events for Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
“I’m thrilled to have Neil Brodie step into this role as vice president overseeing the development of corporate events, incentive groups and full-ship charter programs for all three brands,” says David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Neil has proven to be an integral leader within the company by guiding the team to have its most successful year in 2023, and I have no doubt that he will continue to accelerate on the tremendous growth this year.”
Cuellar, meanwhile, will lead Sixthman, which is owned by Norwegian Cruise Line and produces festivals and music cruises.
“Sixthman had an incredible year, welcoming new communities to experience the magic that the team delivers at sea,” says Herrera. “Much of that success was built upon the foundation laid by Anthony Diaz during his tenure, and we at NCL thank him for all of his efforts over the years.”
He adds: “Given his strong 24-year track record in the entertainment and hospitality industry, I am confident Jeff is the perfect person to lead Sixthman forward into its very bright future and continue to build on its 2023 successes.”
