Norwegian Cruise Line is renovating two ships ahead of the summer travel season.
Norwegian Epic and Pride of America will undergo renovations to bring more experiences and elevated offerings to guests.
Norwegian Epic will emerge from a three-week dry dock on May 8 with a variety of upgrades ahead of her season debut in Europe. The ship will have a new hot tub on deck 18, a refreshed Kids' Aqua Park that replaces Splashgolf and an expanded Vibe Beach Club that replaces Posh Beach Club. Crews are also adding eight new staterooms.
Starting this month, the ship will sail around the Mediterranean and Greek Isles. Norwegian Epic will then return to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and offer Southern Caribbean cruises.
Pride of America, meanwhile, will undergo renovations from May 3-31. The ship will get a new Starbucks location within The Capitol Atrium on deck 5, as well as a new pickleball option on the existing sports court. Crews will add 12 new club balcony suites and three inside staterooms on deck 12. Splash Academy and Entourage will be relocated to deck 6, and Shuffles Card Room will be replaced by a Library and Card room.
After dry dock, Pride of America will return to Honolulu to offer the line’s signature inter-island cruise.
“Delivering the best vacation experience for our guests, where they have the freedom and flexibility to do more of what they love is and will always continue to be our goal,” says David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “By listening to guests’ feedback, we are excited to provide them with MORE to do on board starting this summer as Norwegian Epic sets sail for Europe and Pride of America continues to offer the world’s only seven-day interisland Hawaii voyages departing from Honolulu 52 weeks out of the year.”
