Norwegian Cruise Line has officially taken delivery of Norwegian Luna.
The cruise line accepted the completed, 3,565‑passenger ship from Fincantieri at its shipyard in Marghera, Italy. The vessel will now sail across the Atlantic, arriving in the United States on March 23. The vessel will be christened on March 27 at PortMiami.
The ship will spend its first year in Miami, offering a variety of three- and four-day Bahamas voyages, as well as seven-day Caribbean itineraries. Guests will be able to visit the newly enhanced Great Stirrup Cay, the cruise line’s private destination in the Bahamas, which features a new pier and several amenities, including an oversized pool, as well as the Great Tides Waterpark scheduled to open this summer. Later this year, the ship will also visit Harvest Caye, the cruise line’s private destination off the coast of Belize.
In April 2027, Norwegian Luna will debut in New York City, offering four- to seven-day Bermuda voyages with overnights at the Royal Naval Dockyard.

Norwegian Luna is the second ship in the Prima Plus Class, measuring 156,000 gross tons and offering 1,809 staterooms. The ship has 17 dining options and 18 bars and lounges, plus a variety of spaces and activities for travelers to enjoy.
Highlights include the Aqua Slidecoaster, the all-new Luna Midway with carnival‑inspired games and the debuting Moon Climber multi‑level obstacle course. Kids can enjoy interactive play spaces like the The Luna Game Zone and the Glow Court, while adults can unwind at the Mandara Spa or the adults‑only Vibe Beach Club.
Norwegian Luna will also offer a wide array of entertainment offerings, including “Elton: A Celebration of Elton John,” “HIKO: Innovation Meets Wonder” and the new “A Tribute to Eagles.”
“As our newest ship, Norwegian Luna is a powerful reflection of NCL’s ‘It’s Different Out Here’ brand ethos,” says Marc Kazlauskas, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “She delivers freedom, flexibility and thoughtfully curated experiences, allowing guests to enjoy their vacation exactly how they want, with ease. This ship represents the continued evolution of our vision and the incredible work behind an award-winning class of ships.”
