Princess Cruises announced two themed Pacific Coast Wine
& Food Experience cruises onboard the Discovery Princess (October 1) and Sapphire
Princess (October 8).
The six- and seven-day voyages bring together two celebrated
wineries, the Wagner Family of Wine and Jackson Family Wines, as well as offer
winemaker dinners, expertly guided tastings with hosts and sommeliers, food and
wine pairings and more.
Bookings for the Pacific Wine Country sailings are now open.
“Enhancing our Pacific Coastal cruises with these two
specially-themed cruises offers our guests an engaging experience while we’re
visiting these top wine regions,” Princess Vice President of Food and Beverage
Sami Kohen said.
On Discovery Princess, guests will experience the Wagner
Family of Wine when the ship sails from Vancouver to Los Angeles with stops in
Victoria, B.C. and overnight in San Francisco, with sailings starting as low as
$319 per person.
The October 1-7 voyage will offer wine discovery lessons, a Caymus
Winemaker Dinner and Nautical Wine Tasting, in addition to the fleet-wide food
and beverage offerings.
As for Sapphire Princess and its Jackson Family Wines
themes, the vessel will sail from Vancouver to Los Angeles on October 8-15,
with day-long stops at four popular coastal destinations, including Victoria,
Astoria, San Francisco and San Diego.
“Our relationships with the Wagner and Jackson families pair
their winemaking prowess with our enthusiastic chefs to serve up wine and food
pairings our guests will sip and savor,” Kohen continued.
Travelers can enjoy specially selected wine pairings that
celebrate the region's cuisine, with sailings starting as low as $349 per
person. Other themed activities include wine discovery, a Jackson Family Wines
dinner, Winery Tours from San Francisco, Comparative Tasting events and a VIP
Winemaker Dinner.
