Princess Cruises is scrapping its 2026 world cruise because of the ongoing Houthi rebel attacks in the Red Sea.
Instead, the cruise line will offer a 131-day “Circle Pacific Voyage” that visits 60 ports in 19 countries in the Pacific Ocean. The cruise departs January 5, 2026, from Fort Lauderdale aboard Coral Princess.
Travelers will visit destinations in Hawaii, French Polynesia, the South Pacific, New Zealand and Australia, Japan and Alaska. The cruise will also sail along the Pacific Coast of North America before finishing in Los Angeles on May 16, 2026.
Various shorter segments are also available for booking.
Princess Cruises said it made the decision to cancel its 2026 world cruise after “extensive consultations with global security experts and government authorities.” The cruise line is contacting guests who have already booked the 2026 world cruise.
“This Circle Pacific Voyage is more than just an itinerary, it's an invitation to explore some of the Pacific's most iconic and remote destinations in a single, unforgettable journey,” says John Padgett, president of Princess Cruises. “We've crafted this route to showcase the beauty, culture, and diversity of 19 countries, from the volcanic shores of Hawaii to the bustling streets of Bangkok and the serene landscapes of Alaska.”
Travelers who book by December 31 will get early booking perks like premium beverages, unlimited specialty dining, crew gratuity, MedallionNet Max WiFi, unlimited juice bar and specialty coffee, premium desserts, unlimited fitness classes, a photo package, EZair airfare, up to $500 in onboard credits and more.
