Fresh seafood from The Catch by Rudi, Princess Cruises' new specialty seafood dining concept. (Photo Credit: Princess Cruises)
Princess Cruises is launching a new specialty seafood restaurant, The Catch by Rudi, the cruise line’s first restaurant focusing on seafood, which will debut onboard the Enchanted Princess and three other ships. The restaurant is part of a partnership with Culinary Icon Chef Rudi Sodamin, the cruise line’s head of culinary arts. It will be a specialty restaurant with a price tag of $39 per person and replaces Bistro Sur La Mer. Features of The Catch by Rudi includes The Daily Catch, fresh, sustainably sourced seafood from local ports; seafood classics; to-go dishes; and The Seafood Trolly, a smorgasbord of fresh lobster, oysters, mussels and other seafoods. "The Catch by Rudi is my way of combining my love of food, seafood and people with my incredible culinary journey at sea and my lifelong history of cooking seafood across the globe to delight Princess guests," said Rudi Sodamin. "I want to deliver a new way to enjoy seafood and a fresh perspective on something they thought they knew. Everything we are doing with The Catch is about 'catching' that precious moment we call 'now'—and doing it in such a memorable and unexpected way that makes you say 'wow!'"For those with other dietary needs, the restaurant will also offer vegetarian dishes and beef dishes. The restaurant will debut onboard the Enchanted Princess first; it will be located across from the guest services desk on Deck 5. The Majestic Princess and the Sky Princess will offer the new dining concept this May in Alaska and Scandinavia, respectively. The restaurant will be available onboard the Discovery Princess this fall.
