Silversea Cruises, an inclusive luxury line, has been bundling more and more things into its vacation packages lately.
While drinks, gratuities and butler service have always been included on Silversea, the line recently added free shore excursions on 52 Mediterranean voyages this year, as well as free Wi-Fi for all passengers starting in January.
The Med promotion was so successful that the line starting thinking about expanding it, Kristian Anderson, Silversea's senior vice president and general manager for the Americas, told Travel Pulse earlier this year.
And now it has. All Asia cruises operated by Silver Shadow in 2016 will include free shore excursions, free Wi-Fi, round-trip economy air travel, transfers, and a two-night, pre-cruise hotel stay.
"Our goal is to make it as convenient as possible for our guests to experience a luxury vacation in the Far East by offering the most inclusive all-inclusive fares in cruising," Anderson said in a press release announcing the new deal.
The all-inclusive packages are available on 17 cruises booked on or after June 24. The voyages include, for example, a Feb. 6 seven-day cruise round-trip from Singapore to Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia, priced from $4,550 per person, double occupancy. Click here for a list of eligible cruises.
The all-inclusive Asia cruise packages include a two-night stay at a five-star Shangri-La hotel in Hong Kong, Singapore or Tokyo, transfers between airport, hotel and ship, and round-trip economy airfare from over 50 gateways in the U.S. and Canada. A business-class air upgrade for transoceanic flights is available from $1,999 each way.
Guests can choose tours from a menu of included Silver Shore Select excursions in every port of call. Or, they can purchase tours from the more-immersive Silver Shore Collection tours, as well as Silver Shore Privato, which provides a private car and driver for independent exploring.
The all-inclusive packages also include one hour of free Wi-Fi per day, for every guest, and unlimited free Wi-Fi for the ship's top-tier suites (Medallion and higher categories).
The new perks join included amenities such as open-seating gourmet dining, butler service for all suites, Champagne, wines, premium spirits, specialty coffees, bottled water, soft drinks, in-suite bar stocked with guests' preferences, in-suite dining and 24-hour dining service, lecture and enrichment programs, round-trip transportation into town in most ports, and onboard gratuities exclusive of spa treatments.
