Carnival Cruise Line
Carnival Cruise Line always impresses as a mainstream value-focused line that offers an abundance of great complimentary dining options from burgers to burritos, and its pizza fits right in. Whether at Pizza Pirate or Pizzeria del Capitano, freshly prepared pies are available 24 hours a day onboard. The former offers great Margherita, Funghi, Prosciutto, Pepperoni or Quatttro Formaggi varieties, and the latter on the Carnival Magic, Carnival Sunshine and newest Carnival Vista offers a choice of toppings.
Costa Cruises
Costa Cruises is often considered an Italian version of Carnival Cruise Line, and as such the pizza is regionally delicious. I've only had a chance to tour the appropriately named Costa Deliziosa, but its lasting impression on me included its excellent pizza. Available by the slice, the thin crust preparation is definitely on par with what I've also enjoyed locally in Naples, Italy.

Cunard Line
Fresh off Cunard Line's remastered Queen Mary 2, I can attest that the made-to-order pizzas from the Chefs Galley adjacent to the Kings Court are unexpectedly great. Passengers can order hearty Caprese, Pepperoni, Tuscan Baked Chicken, Hawaiian or Diavola pies, and the latter with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bacon, bell peppers, chili flakes and oregano is hands down one of the best pizzas I've ever had.
Holland America Line
Also featuring freshly prepared pies is Holland America Line with its New York Pizza stands available on the latest Koningsdam and other ships like the Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam. Passengers can choose to build their own pizza or order one inspired by the Big Apple. The line's signature Culinary Council is also showcased as Elizabeth Falkner's award-winning Finocchio is available with Italian sausage, fennel, onion, chili flakes, panna cream sauce, aged provolone and pecorino Romano cheese.
MSC Cruises
MSC Cruises showcases its Mediterranean heritage with its tasty complimentary pizza available from the buffet, but its the specialty kind (pictured above) from Eataly aboard the MSC Divina that is well worth the surcharge. Even in the Caribbean, pizzas here taste like they do from the homeland as the fresh ingredients pop with flavor in your mouth.

Princess Cruises
Princess Cruises has always been well known for its excellent pizza, and it has only been escalated more aboard its latest ships - the Royal Princess and Regal Princess. While great slices are still instantly available around the pool deck, specially made Neapolitan pies are fully served table-side at Alfredo's Pizzeria, complimentarily no less. Its varieties range from traditional to gourmet, and each is as mouthwatering as the last.
Silversea Cruises
As for luxury cruise lines, Silversea Cruises definitely takes the cake for serving the best freshly made pies. All of the line's genuine Italian pizzas are wonderful, but the Piccante is a favorite topped with tomato, mozzarella cheese and spicy Calabrian sausage. I only wish they were also available on the company's Silversea Expeditions brand as well.
