California dream trips, New England road trips, Colorado adventure trips and Memphis music trips.
The United States offers countless iconic and unforgettable itineraries for travelers and Brand USA knows this fact well.
The country's destination marketing organization launched a new website aimed at international travel professionals, designed to provide the inspiration and information needed to book travel to the United States.
The new online platform, six months in the making, will serve as a comprehensive, one-stop gateway for those looking to better sell the USA.
To help with this effort, the site showcases the country in vivid color, rich detail, and lush video. It offers regional and themed itineraries, travel videos, photographs that can be used by travel professionals in their own collateral and tips covering everything from visa and entry policy information to how to get around after arriving in the country.
"Brand USA understands the importance of the travel trade and we've taken detailed measures to create a website that truly reflects the industry's needs, interests, and desires," said Cathy Domanico, vice president, global trade development for Brand USA. "The travel trade continues to play a significant role in driving international visitors to, through, and beyond America's gateways. This new digital development will enable Brand USA to better connect with, and provide an engaging platform for, all travel industry professionals."
The site, which went live in January, brings together in one place trade resources that were previously spread out across Brand USA's consumer and corporate websites.
Among its most noteworthy offerings are regional and themed itineraries that begin in key gateway cities but include information for exploring far beyond the well-known stops, including iconic landmarks and hidden gems.
There's also an innovative interactive online training section titled "Become a USA Expert," that's designed to provide those who are selling trips with the knowledge and skills needed to more effectively serve customers.
The Road Trip USA video portion of the site meanwhile, includes one stunning and enticing video after another showcasing various states and regions of the country, from California to Colorado, Maine and beyond.
"The site, which was built on the back end of our consumer site, pulls from all of the inspirational destination content on VisitTheUSA.com, including video, photo galleries, long and short-form content, a bookmarking feature and the ability to share on social media," Domanico told TravelPulse.
The site also provides customized presentation of content for each user based on filters that detect personal navigation choices and browsing behaviors as well as offering a bookmarking tool that allows users to create "favorite" pages, which can be saved for later use or shared, Domanico added.
Additionally, the itineraries on the site, which are matched with custom photography and video, will be continually updated with new offerings.
The new site is also in the process of being translated into seven languages, an effort that should be complete later this year.
