SeaWorld Entertainment, Inc., the parent company of the SeaWorld theme parks, is undergoing a name change to better reflect its seven brands across the United States and Abu Dhabi: United Parks & Resorts Inc., effective February 12, 2024.
United Parks & Resorts Inc. is the parent company of SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove, Sesame Place, Water Country USA, Adventure Island and Aquatica, all of which will continue with their given names.
The company made its international debut with the opening of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi in 2023.
Additionally, the company’s stock ticker symbol will change from SEAS to PRKS, with trading under the new ticker symbol to begin on February 13, 2024. Its websites will also change to UnitedParks.com and UnitedParksInvestors.com on the same day.
“Our new company name, United Parks & Resorts Inc., better reflects that we have been, and will continue to be, a diverse collection of park brands and experiences,” said March Swanson, the company’s CEO.
“Each of our iconic parks, including the four SeaWorld parks in Orlando, San Antonio, San Diego and Abu Dhabi, will continue to operate under the same names our guests know and love,” continued Swanson. “What also remains unchanged is our deep commitment to creating experiences that matter for our guests and inspiring them to help protect animals and the wild wonders of the world.”
