Celebrating your love at Disney theme parks is perfect. You have fairy-tale castles, princes and princesses, evil witches, pompous Gastons, nefarious Ursulas, poisoned apples, power-hungry Hooks, a stomping Queen of Hearts…
We are beginning to think Disney's idea of Valentine's Day might differ from ours.
Well, according to Manager of Dream Making and Disney Floral & Gifts, Jean Volante, in writing on Disney Parks Blog, Disneyland and Disney World offer a rare opportunity for those who are celebrating Valentine's Day a bit early, getting out to the park on the sinister-sounding Friday the 13th.
Although, in classic Disney form, the day has been dubbed Villaintines Day, which means it's a day when that Darth Vader dark side can breath a little.
Here's a tweet that hints at the festivities:
Volante explains the magically macabre bouquet you can get for that special, um, villain/villainess in your life: "At Walt Disney World Resort, start with a dramatic gift for the queen in your life with Roses to Die For. And for those near Disneyland can get similar roses at various resorts. Although, if we have learned anything from Disney movies, smell these flowers at your own risk, especially if you are the type to go from peasant girl to pristine princess.
