No amount of Fast Passes, clam chowder bowls or Mickey Mouse ears can cheer up Billy Corgan, who really may just need a hug at the moment.
US Weekly introduced us to the following image of Corgan sitting downtrodden on the Big Thunder Mountain ride at Disneyland.
It's the visual equivalent of sitting alone in your room as you weep the lyrics "Today is the greatest" between sobs of uncontrollable emotion.
We don't know if it was global warming or the line at Star Tours that got him down, but at some point Corgan mentally checked out of the ride he was sitting in to embark on a whirlwind philosophical journey that led to this pitiful punum.
The report states the image was taken during a brief respite for Corgan who is on tour at the moment.
US Weekly states: "Corgan and the rest of the Smashing Pumpkins are currently on tour with Marilyn Manson to promote their 'Monuments to an Elegy' album. The veteran band will be on the road through Aug. 9, with dates in Atlanta, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, and Nashville still ahead."
We hope Corgan found time to crack a smile during his stay at Disneyland. This is, after all, a magical place where hour-long lines and $10 snacks seem like a good idea.
Now Big Thunder is normally a ride that leads to tremendous fun for patrons. That doesn't seem to be the case for Corgan.
We guess the screams of joy and the smell of sweet delicacies wafting from Main Street aren't enough to help alleviate the weight of the world.
It's pure speculation on our part, but we like to think Corgan left the ride, ordered an ice cream and enjoyed the treat as a small cloud began raining upon his vicinity.
