Travel, at its most rewarding, is an exploration that enriches, educates and enlivens. Soon we will all be fortunate enough to journey along with Ellen Page as she delves into the world of LGBT travel.
Sadly, we will all be watching from home, leaving the global trekking to Page, who ambles around the world enjoying the experiences afforded to her by travel while learning about the power and plight of the LGBT community at large.

It's all part of her venture "Gaycation," which will premiere March 2 at 10 p.m. on the budding Viceland channel.
The network released its first trailer of the series, which features Page who takes best bud Ian Daniel along for one mesmerizing ride around the world:
And in many respects, this is Page's first foray into LGBT travel. She offers on visiting Japan: "This is my first time in a gay district of Tokyo, because in the past I was just too closeted to come to the gay area."
Thankfully, there is an outlet that will now show the beauty and brilliance of certain parts of the world while also telling the important and often harrowing stories from the locals who have to endure anguish simply for being human.
Page, 29, came out as gay in 2014 and has starred in such movies as "Juno," "Inception" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past."
There are whispers that she will star in a reboot of the movie "Flatliners" along with actor Diego Luna. And, of course, she is hard at work in her current project that sends her around the world.
It's a passion project in two respects as Page tells the New York Times that she is intrigued to learn more about the LGBT community throughout the world. But she also states, "I've always loved travel shows so much."
The entire interview sheds some light on a captivating show that should go great lengths to unveil beauty not readily seen.

But we'd like to highlight one part that typifies what Page hopes to get out of the project: "It's not really about us traveling, it's about the communities we meet. But also, we're showing the joy of travel and the learning and expansion that come from it."
As of this writing, there are three episodes available on Viceland's website (with a cable login): Japan, Brazil and Jamaica.
