Free Dining Returns to Walt Disney World

Savvy travelers—and those who utilize the services of a top-notch travel agent—know the best time to save tons of money on a Walt Disney World vacation is when Disney rolls out its much-anticipated Free Disney Dining plans.

Although the offer, which includes two free meals and two free snacks per person per day, is never a guaranteed event, Disney has confirmed that it will return for 2018.

To qualify for free dining, guests must book a non-discounted 5-night/6-day Magic Your Way package that includes a room at a select Disney Resort hotel and a ticket with a Park Hopper® Option.

Guests visiting Orlando this year will be able to take advantage of a year-long celebration commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Be sure to look for Augustus, the first hippo born at the park in 13 years.

Of special interest for guests this year, Disney has introduced new beverage options with each dining package, including a non-alcoholic specialty beverages or beer, wine and cocktails for guests 21 and over.

Two dining packages are available, including the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, and eligibility is based upon resort type. Guests, of course, also have the option to upgrade to a Deluxe Dining Plan, which includes three meals and two snacks daily per guest.

Free Disney Dining Plan

This package includes one quick-service meal, one table-service meal and 2 snacks per person, per night of their stay. Table-service meals can be redeemed for Character Dining, Signature Dining and dinner shows. Each person in the party also gets a refillable drink mug. The free package is available on bookings at:

Free dining plan packages are valid for arrivals on most nights during the following windows: August 20 through September 29, 2018; November 24-2, 2018 and December 7- 23, 2018.

The offer cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion and excludes the following room types: campsites, three-bedroom villas and Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Everyone in the same room must be on the same package. Children ages 3-9 must order from children’s menus, where available, and the offer does not include gratuities.

All packages must be booked by July 7, 2018, but only a limited number of slots per resort are available, so early bookings are highly recommended.
