A sinkhole opened up outside of President Trump's famed Mar-a-Lago resort club Monday.
The jokes that ensued essentially wrote themselves.
According to TIME, a four-by-four foot sinkhole opened near a newly installed water main outside of the Palm Beach, Florida resort, prompting minor traffic delays and a slew of wisecracks on social media.

The Weather Channel reports that sinkholes like the one outside of Mar-a-Lago are a common occurrence in Florida, though Monday's incident was just the latest in a growing list of negative headlines involving the resort. The U.S. State Department caught flack last month after publishing a controversial article that appeared to promote the exclusive club. The ShareAmerica.gov article was eventually taken down amid the backlash.
"The intention of the article was to inform the public about where the president has been hosting world leaders. We regret any misperception and have removed the post," the State Department said in a statement.
Mar-a-Lago has indeed been a source of controversy since Trump took office in January. In addition to the potential conflict of interest stemming from the president hosting world leaders there, his frequent visits have also raised cost concerns that some members of Congress are looking to rein in.
