We certainly hope your next trip to Moab, Utah, is far less eventful than this jaunt through the canyons.
Awesomer spotted a video that is just that: awesome. It features bikers Tyson Swasey and Joey Schusler and BASE jumpers Ian Flanders and Matt Blank delivering a wild ride through some treacherous Moab terrain.
The video is called "Beat Down," and it features a pair of bikers racing amid the rocks and sand; shoving pushing and leaping from extremely high precipices.
Thanks to the Camp 4 Collective YouTube account, we get to enjoy but a smidgeon of what it's like to embark on an extreme vacation. (The video does, however, contain NSFW images.)
With Slayer's "Behind the Crooked Cross" still pounding in the ears and the palms still moist from the vertigo, we are prepared to pore over Moab research to find out when we can hike those hallowed grounds.
You might feel the same, so dive right into some possibilities at DiscoverMoab.com, which has information on lodging and various activities.
While we can safely say that we are leaving the bikes at home, there seems to be items for every level of athlete. For example, a day fishing and golfing sounds like a tremendous time, because we don't see those mandating a jump off a perfectly fine cliff just to amuse our friends.
We do have to thank the producers of this film for reminding us just how gorgeous the sun-kissed rocks of Moab truly are. Thankfully, you don't necessarily need a parachute to enjoy them.
