Gizmodo spotted the newest craze sweeping a very select portion of the country at the moment.
It's called a MacBook selfie stick, and it's nearly as insane as it sounds.
The very sight of the device will garner a wave of nostalgia to when we first heard of people snapping smartphones to a stick so that they could take better self-portraits.

The good news, for the moment, is the following images are all part of an art campaign and not something we will see stretching out from the arms of tourists around the world.

It wasn't so long ago that we shook our collective heads at the insanity behind the practice of sticking a phone on a stick.
