President Barack Obama is about to embark on a trip to Alaska, meeting locals, examining the effects of climate change and learning how to survive in the wilderness with NBC's Bear Grylls.
Yes, the President of these United States is about to run wild, appearing in what is being called a special episode of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls," which will air at some point later this year, via an NBC press release.
In the President's weekly address, he outlined the impetus behind his current sojourn to Alaska, which is a moment to raise awareness and field concerns about climate change in the massively vibrant and naturally diverse state.

Per the press release, the trip will also afford Obama the opportunity to traverse an expanse of Alaska and learn survival tips from a man who has been corralling some big celebrity names for his show recently.

The release offers what audiences can expect when President Obama cameos a bit later this year: "President Obama will meet with Grylls while visiting Alaska to observe the effects of climate change on the area. The two will then come together in the Alaskan wilderness. President Obama will become the first U.S. president to receive a crash course in survival techniques from Bear Grylls."
There is no word on specifics, but we imagine the show will use the presidential moment to bring the topic of climate change to a wider audience that might tune in to the NBC program.
