When stuffing your maw with hot dogs, peanuts, and beer won't do, perhaps consider ordering one of the Bloody Mary drinks they have at Target Field, which is garnished ever so exquisitely with a slice of pizza.
Feel free to lift your pinky when you sip on it.
Now millions will travel around the nation taking in a baseball game over the summer. Many will actually head on out on a road trip with that very mission. Invariably the question of what to eat comes up before getting to the stadium.
For those watching the Minnesota Twins this year, Fox Sports has a suggestion in the form of a new concoction at Target Field.
Here it is thanks to a tweet from former slugger Kent Hrbek:
What we have here is a Bloody Mary (read: alcoholic abomination) at Hrbek's called the College Daze Bloody Mary.
The report informs us of what 20 bucks will get you: "Other garnishes include a beef stick, two kinds of cheese, an olive, celery, and a pickle spear. But the main attraction in this $19 cocktail is the slice of pizza."
We have seen a great many restaurants super sizing their Bloody Mary drinks with obscene garnishes.
While we certainly love the combination, we simply have to wonder when a Bloody Mary ceases being a Bloody Mary.
Soon you will order a drink and it will come with a food truck. At some point you aren't exactly buying the delicious tomato-based drink.
Then again that is pre-baseball-season us talking, because we all know we lose our minds the moment we head through the turnstiles.
Suddenly mammoth hot dogs and $10 beer seem like worthwhile purchases. So instead of remaining grumpy about the drink, let's join in with the Twins organization and say we absolutely love the idea of chugging our pizza.
