Universal Orlando Resort announced new details for one of
the five worlds coming to the all-new Universal
Epic Universe theme park opening in 2025.
The new land, dubbed How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk,
will immerse travelers in a larger-than-life world that includes attractions, character
meet-and-greets, dining, shopping, and flying dragons from the hit movie
franchise.
Isle of Berk was designed by a team that consisted of
members from Universal Creative, DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures. Universal
Orlando visitors will experience immense architecture featuring hand-carved
details, lush landscaping, and heights of rolling hills surrounding dragon
houses and local establishments.
In addition to two 40-foot-tall Viking statues, the How to
Train Your Dragon land will boast four attractions, one live show, and several
character and dragon meet-and-greet experiences, including a family thrill
coaster, Hiccup’s Wing Gliders.
Other attractions and events coming to the Isle of Berk land
include The Untrainable Dragon live spectacular, the Fyre Drill wet-and-wild
boat battle, a Dragon Racer’s Rally, Viking Training Camp and the chance to
meet Hiccup and Toothless.
Travelers can also dine and shop like Vikings in the world’s
variety of themed eateries and retail locations, such as Mead Hall, Spit Fyre
Grill, and Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel.
