Consider this your daily reminder that San Francisco is gorgeous.
Now this isn't meant to inflate the city's ego, because we think the hipster sipping coffee is doing just fine in the confidence department.
No, this is a case of something so beautiful we just can't ignore bringing it to you here. And thanks to SFist, we get to enjoy a few minutes of the iconic California city in pristine 4K video.
And, as the report notes, the footage above SFO is "rare since your average aerial video taker isn't often allowed in that airspace."
But we don't need to worry about such things as we sit back and enjoy:
The video comes by way of Carbon Studios, and the studio explains, "We were fortunate enough to be able to hop on a flight around the city of San Francisco, CA at night! As we approached the city, we were given permission to fly over the SFO airport as well!"
For the amateur photog in the audience, you will need the following equipment and a sweet ride to replicate the effort: "We shot this out of a helicopter with the FreeFly Systems Movi M5, the Sony A7s, and the Atomos Shogun recording in 4K."
With feet firmly planted on the ground, we greatly appreciate the effort and the end result. Now we will remember to look out our window when approaching SFO by plane, because this isn't a sight to be missed.
