Anyone who has ever graced the confines of the famed Winchester Mystery House knows how creepy a simple room addition can be.
Well, things have become far spookier just weeks away from Halloween.
KGO-TV reports the home that Sarah Winchester continued to refurbish until her death has somehow gained a room over 90 years later.
For those who haven't had the pleasure or meandering about the peculiar and downright disturbing location, the Winchester Mystery House, located in San Jose, is a tourist attraction that draws visitors with myriad stairwells that go nowhere and doors that open up to walls. It's the byproduct of Sarah Winchester attempting to beat back evil spirits with a never-ending series of construction.
Some of you doing remodeling to the home may think your work will never end. For Winchester, that was the very point.
The effort was so insane that a new room has now been discovered that rests in the attic.
According to officials, it was last boarded up in 1922 when the homeowner passed away. And it has since sat closed off, hiding normal items that now seem far more eerie in the light of modern eyes.
The report explains what was found: "The preservation team found numerous items in the room, including a pump organ, Victorian couch, dress form, sewing machine and paintings."

It's kind of like finding that box of old photos you thought you had lost years ago. But in this case it's an entire room and, we presume, extremely and utterly haunted.

And thus a concept as simple as constant building leads to something that causes thousands of tourists to shudder every year.
Remarkably, its construction, in a way, is far from over as only recently have we discovered an attic space that was previously boarded off from the rest of the world.
