It's very easy to go unnoticed when staying at a hotel. But it seems not everyone is content to fly under the radar.

In a recent comment thread on Reddit, current and former hotel workers were asked to dish on the strangest behavior they've witnessed from hotel guests during their time in the industry.

Here are some of the lowlights.

The Pie Guy

"We had a guest we ended up calling 'Pie Guy.' He would come into the hotel without a reservation, pay in cash plus the $100 cash deposit and the next day we would find his bathroom and bathtub full of the remains of several expensive pies," wrote user ladywug.

The Redditor said the man was put on the hotel's "do not rent" list but kept coming back under different names.

"One time we found a torn up list in his room with the words 'pie' and 'pants' scribbled over and over again."

Thankfully, it was just pie. After all, plenty of other guests have been accused of leaving more disturbing things behind in their room and even the lobby.

"Blood is common. Once I had to throw out all the bedding, there was blood all over the bed and even the pillows. They did leave a tip, though," an anonymous housekeeper told Thrillist.com.

The Treadmill Sleeper

In a building full of beds, it's perplexing that anyone would look to crash on a piece of workout equipment.

However Redditor greenmouse19 witnessed one such incident.

"This one lady came into the lobby around 11 p.m., asked for the workout room so I opened it back up for her figuring she was one of those 24-hour workout people," the user wrote. "I went back in around 3 a.m. to close it up again, and she has set up a bed for herself on the treadmill."

The woman had allegedly gotten into an argument with her husband and refused to sleep with him. I guess that's one way to prove a point.

The hotel employee ultimately provided the woman with the hotel's last available room for the night.

The Paranoid Guest

According to an anonymous housekeeper via Thrillist.com, it's not all that uncommon for guests to stick around while their room is being cleaned and serviced.

"There have been a couple guests who wanted to watch me clean their rooms, everything from making the bed to scrubbing the toilet," the employee told Thrillist.com.

We hope they at least left a tip.

Other stories of paranoid guests include a woman concerned over bubbles inside her room's toilet.

The TV Thief

While it's not unlikely for guests to snag the complimentary soap and shampoo from the hotel room bathroom, there are some things that shouldn't leave the room, including the television.

Nonetheless, one Reddit user described an incident in which a guest was able to get away with a television from a room despite being captured on camera.

It's safe to say that that isn't the most bizarre thing anyone has ever stolen from a hotel.

The tales only get stranger from there, with much of the content qualifying as NSFW. You've been warned, but if your curiosity prevails, you can click here to read more firsthand accounts.
