Kazakhstan is now home to its second Ritz-Carlton hotel.
The Ritz-Carlton, Astana opened this month, adding to the allure of this emerging destination.
The new property is located in the high-end Tainan Towers, a business and economic hub at the center of the city that is home to its first mixed-use complex, featuring luxury shopping and lifestyle experiences that are new to the city as a whole.
"We are excited to be launching The Ritz-Carlton in this flourishing capital and can't wait to help our guests discover what made The New York Times call Astana one of the 52 places to visit in 2017," said Herve Humler, president and chief operating officer, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.
The hotel offers 157 guestrooms, including 32 suites and 27 residences. Each room features panoramic views of the city along with spacious layouts. The Club Lounge on the 14th floor offers heightened luxury with private check-in, dedicated Club Concierge, and culinary presentations throughout the day.
The Ritz-Carlton, Astana also contributes three new restaurants to the city's growing culinary scene.
Organic options can be found at Ozen, adjacent to the main entrance. Mokki features all-day dining. Selfie Astana is the newest offering from Russian restaurant group, White Rabbit Family. The restaurant occupies the 18th floor of the hotel and offers stunning city views as well as "masterful" cuisine.
The Ritz-Carlton, Astana isn't the first Ritz-Carlton property in Kazakhstan, but it's opening is a sign of the country's desire to transform into a high-end destination within Central Asia.

The Ritz-Carlton, Astana joins the Ritz-Carlton, Almaty-located in the Esentai Tower, the tallest in Central Asia and designed by the American firm behind the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. It is another example of the growing culture of luxury in Kazakhstan.
The timing of the opening of the Ritz-Carlton, Astana is no accident; The city will be thrust onto the world stage in just a couple of days with the opening of Expo 2017.
The international exhibition will begin on June 10 and is sure to put the entire country in the spotlight this summer.
Expo 2017 runs through Sept. 10 in Astana with a theme of "Future Energy." It will encourage debate among countries on the question: "How do we ensure safe and sustainable access to energy for all while reducing CO2 emissions?"
