The AHLA Foundation, run by the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA), announced a new ForWard initiative to support women in hospitality, especially in leadership positions.
The new initiative merges ForWard, an AHLA event, and the Castell Project, a legacy brand focusing on advancing women hospitality leaders.
ForWard now offers BUILD & ELEVATE, a year-long curriculum of workshops, career coaching and leadership skills classes for women; ForWardThinking, a speaker series for hospitality students; The ForWard Network, a community of women leaders from the former ForWard Ambassadors and Friends of Castell and Castell Luminaries groups; The ForWard Conference; and the Peggy Berg Castell Award, formerly known as the Castell Award.
“There is tremendous opportunity for us to do more to celebrate, champion, and create community for women,” said Anna Blue, President of AHLA Foundation. “AHLA Foundation is uniquely positioned to collaborate across industry and invest in the women who are advancing hospitality.”
